Here we go! I've set forth on the next major stop in Mario's 3D journey. I never noticed *exactly* how polished this game was compared to Mario 64 before, but now it's painfully obvious. This is definitely a huge improvement over the previous installment. I can't imagine why people hate this game so much, it does a lot of things better. Mario 64 was possibly the first great 3D adventure game, and it did many things right and offers a lot of nostalgia. But hell, Sunshine wins just for the camera that doesn't make me want to leap into the bottomless pit and get it over with.
It's also so much more beautiful. I dunno, I love Mario 64. But Sunshine beats it in pretty much every way. Excepting of course for the Blue Coins. And even those wouldn't be so bad if they were easier to track. Anyhoo, I'm 4 Shines and 16 Blue Coins in, and I'm ready to shoot for 100% completion. I've got just under a month until Mario Galaxy is mine, and I'd like to cut it as close as possible without going over.
Taking all bets.
